Soil Science Australia Soil Carbon Symposium

Soil Science Australia Soil Carbon Symposium

Event Description:
Welcome to the Soil Science Australia Soil Carbon Symposium. This event is hosted by Soil Science Australia and supported by Landcare Australia. The symposium provides an opportunity to reinforce and up-skill policy advisers and decision-makers with evidence-based information and to engage in positive, open discussions around the complexities of soil carbon science and the challenges of implementing soil carbon sequestration methodologies.

The symposium will revisit and build on previous events, such as the Soil Science Australia NSW Branch ‘Sequestering Soil Carbon Workshop’ held at the Australian National University in October 2023 and the National Soils Advocate Forum ‘Soil Organic Carbon: Realities and science for policy advisers and decision makers’, held at the National Press Club in April 2021.
