Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services for an opportunity to visit a Travelling Stock Reserve (TSR) showcasing our region's endangered Purple Copper Butterfly. Celebrate Biodiversity month and Threatened Species day (7th September) as we get to see these amazing butterflies during their short flying season.

The Purple Copper Butterfly is one of Australia's rarest butterfly species and is only found within the Central Tablelands region between Bathurst, Oberon and Lithgow.

Come along to learn more about this endangered species and efforts through the Saving Our Species (SOS) program to help protect this butterfly and its important habitat.

Bring your camera to capture some photo opportunities of the Purple Copper Butterfly and participate in monitoring and citizen science activities on the day.

This is a free and catered event.
