Join us for a day of discovery at Billy Goat Hill as part of the Great Southern Bioblitz! The Billy Goat Hill Appreciation Society invites you to explore local plants and wildlife while contributing to citizen science. Help us identify and record as many species as possible on the hill using the iNaturalist app. No prior experience is needed—our team will guide you on how to navigate the app and begin identifying species.
The Great Southern Bioblitz is an exciting way to engage with nature, learn about the biodiversity in our region, and contribute to a global citizen science effort. Once you've learned to use the app, you can continue documenting flora and fauna anytime—whether it's in your backyard, on a bushwalk, or at your local park.
Don't forget to bring your lunch, a picnic rug or chair, water, sun/rain protection, and sturdy shoes. We'll provide all the details on how to get started with the iNaturalist app once you're registered, or we can assist you on the day.
