Great Southern Bio Bliz - Lithgow

  • Vale Community Hall Mort Street Vale of Clwydd, NSW, 2790 Australia (map)

Come and join Lithgow Transformation Hub, Local Land Services and Lithgow Oberon Landcare Association at the launch of this year's Great Southern Bioblitz, an opportunity to gather as a community over a shared meal and to learn from experts and find out how you too can contribute to science by participating in the BioBlitz.

Throughout the night in the hall there will be information displays, including a Kids Corner with nocturnal wildlife crafts. Frog, Bat and Bug experts will host walk and talks outside from 8pm, and Hub staff will be available to ask questions and help you set up your iNaturalist accounts ahead of the Great Southern BioBlitz weekend.

Children are welcome, but all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All kids will receive a free wombat colouring in book.

Please bring a torch and wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. In the case of light rain, this event will go ahead as planned. If heavy rain or other weather conditions are unsuitable for outdoor activities, the event will proceed, with indoor expert presentations and information displays instead of outdoor activities.
