Great Southern Bio Blitz 2023


The 'Great Southern BioBlitz', or 'GSB' for short, is an international event is a international event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible across the Southern Hemisphere from the 24th until the 27th of November. A Bioblitz is essentially a biological census, bringing together citizen scientists, as well as families, students, teachers, and other members of our communities.

The purpose of this event is to highlight both the immense biodiversity spread across the Central Tablelands in the flourishing springtime, as well as to engage the public in science and nature learning using the citizen science platform iNaturalist.

2. Take pictures or recordings of animals, plants, fungi, and any wildlife you find during the bioblitz.
