The 2023/2024 State and Territory Landcare Awards are now open for nominations, offering a unique opportunity to honour the champions of land conservation and sustainability across Australia. This prestigious event recognises individuals, groups, and organisations excelling in sustainable agricultural practices, environmental protection, and the conservation of land, waterways, coastlines, and biodiversity.

These awards are not just for Landcare members but are open to all who are making a difference in environmental stewardship. From urban to rural communities, the awards highlight the diverse efforts being made to protect and sustain the Australian environment.

Inspirational Stories of Past Winners

Past winners like Colin Seis and Charlie Arnott showcase the impact that innovative and committed individuals can have. Seis, known for his sustainable agriculture techniques, and Arnott, a champion of better land care practices, exemplify the dedication these awards celebrate.

New and Diverse Categories

This year, the awards feature new categories, including the Climate Innovation Award, Women in Landcare Award, First Nations Landcare Collaboration Award, and NextGen Award, among others. These additions highlight the evolving landscape of environmental conservation and the diverse contributors to this cause.

Nominating is straightforward. If you know someone – be it an individual, group, or organisation – making a positive environmental impact, nominate them today. Important Dates and Entry Details

Nominations open on October 18, 2023, and will close on March 1, 2024, at 11:59 pm. The winners from each category will compete for the national title in 2024.
