September Wattle Day ID Walk

  • Research Station Drive Mitchell, NSW, 2795 Australia (map)

Wattle they think of next?

Celebrate Wattle Day in Bathurst as part of Biodiversity Month. You will spend a couple of hours learning how to use the Wattle App to help you identify wattle. Please ensure you have loaded the app to your phone before you come along. It is Wattle-Acacias of Australia Lucid Mobile, there is a fee of $9.99 for the app.

If you have a magnifying glass please bring it along so you can get up close to the identifying features of the wattle. You are welcome to bring some wattle, it doesn't have to be flowering, if you would like to identify it.

Remember to wear closed in sturdy shoes as this event is held in a working nursery and the walk is in a Crown Reserve.

What to Bring:

  • Good walking shoes

  • Water bottle

  • Hat and sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen)

  • Magnifying Glass

  • Please bring your keep cup. Lunch will be provided.

Please notify Geri at centraltablelandslandcare@gmail.com if you have any dietary requirements.

The event is being held at the Central Tablelands Nursery. It is located on Research Station Drive, Bathurst. You will enter the grounds of Bathurst CSU and drive to the very end of Research Station Drive. Go through the gates and turn left. The nursery is approx 200m on your left. Follow the signs.
