It is a unique and inclusive event designed to address the four pillars; financial, physical, mental and social to improve your financial literacy and learn practical ways to support your wellbeing across different stages of your life.
In rural communities, women play multifaceted roles as caregivers, business owners, and leaders however, their own health/wellbeing is often overlooked. This forum seeks to shine a spotlight on rural women, providing them with a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and access resources to foster wellbeing, improve self-sufficiency, social connectedness and resilience.
Emma Fisher: Emma is the founder of Grow – Social Work Services and Consulting. She is a proud Social Worker and member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Along with a Bachelor of Social Work, Emma also holds a Bachelor of Arts and is a Certified Resilience Coach. Emma has also completed a range of other courses and is qualified to facilitate a range of evidence-informed programs, including Peaceful Kids, the FRIENDS resilience programs and Parenting Under Pressure (PuP) program. Prior to starting Grow in 2023, Emma had experience working in the government, non-government and private sectors and brings this knowledge to her new business venture. Emma is also a Principal Consultant with Avidus and Co. Emma has spent the majority of her career working in rural and regional New South Wales and is passionate about making sure those ‘living in the bush’ also have access to high-quality and evidence-informed services.
Flick Hamilton: Flick joins us in Wagga Wagga as a Small Business Financial Counsellor. Growing up working in her family’s small business on the south coast and eventually starting her own after completing her degree at UNSW and returning home. Flick has worked extensively in the Veterinary and financial counselling industries for the past 10 years with a focus on business and personal finance in a rural climate. Flick spends her time outside of work Riding and competing Showjumpers and cooking. Flick is looking forward to assisting our small business customers in rebuilding and recovering after Bushfires, Drought, Floods and COVID19.
