Christine Bailey, a local author, has intricately woven her knowledge and consultations with experts such as Senior Local Land Services Officer Allan Wray, and biologist/ecologist Ray Mjadwesch, into her narrative. Their significant work in monitoring, recording, and protecting the Purple Copper Butterfly, along with habitat restoration measures, has been a great inspiration for her book.

Two exclusive photographic exhibitions: The lifecycle of the Purple Copper Butterfly and a collection of common species in the region.
A special presentation by Steven Fleischmann of Lithgow Oberon Landcare on the conservation of the Bursaria spinosa bush, the sole food source for the Purple Copper Butterfly.
